At a time, the staffs were prohibited in fairs because they always mean a fight in the north of Portugal, so the folks brought their walking canes to fight anyway, thats one of the traditional application of one hand weapons in jogo do pau, that has similar technique and mechanics to the staff, but adapted to one hand.

I wish it had more quality, the tip of the batons get lost, bet here it is:
